A contemporary house extension and complete remodelling in Chesham, designed to respond to its open setting and uninterrupted views over the surrounding fields. The project was driven by the client’s brief to create generous, light-filled living spaces suited to modern family life. A previously small and restrictive entrance hall was reconfigured to improve circulation and arrival, leading into a vibrant open-plan kitchen and family room that now forms the heart of the home.
The extension is expressed in facing brickwork, with new first-floor bedrooms featuring Juliet balconies that frame views across the fields. A spacious first-floor landing enhances the sense of openness and connection between rooms. Large corner sliding-folding doors blur the boundary between inside and out, allowing the living spaces to open fully to the landscape beyond.
