This project brief was to seek planning permission to build a detached four bedroom house and a new detached garage that is fit for purpose in the 21st century on land adjacent to the current property which is located on a substantial corner plot.
The proposal included demolition of the existing garage and storage space for the current bungalow and enable a new dwelling with detached garage to be built.
The new accommodation comprises of a living room, kitchen, utility room, downstairs WC, and bedroom with en suite on the ground floor. On the first floor there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom and en suite facilities.
Planning permission was granted and it was considered that the proposed dwelling would integrate satisfactorily with the existing property and would not adversely impact the character of the locality which is in the Green Belt.
The scheme played careful attention to planning policy and guidance and the site retains a modest and sensitive architectural approach.
